An Open Call for Artists, Curators and Promoters!
44AD artspace is looking for innovative artists, curators and promoters to be part of an exciting new project called 48 hours notice.
To be considered for selection as a 48 hour artist please email 3 X digital images of your recent artwork to by 4th November 2013.
The objective is to put on at least four shows within the first year, whereby the group of selected 48 hour artists will be emailed at random by the 48 hour team. This random email will include a word or a sentence (a title) which artists will have 48 hours to respond to; with the aim of making artwork for an exhibition that will be on display very very shortly afterwards...
Please remember that via selection, the 48 hours team will have recruited a sizeable group of 48 hour artists and there is no obligation that individual artists will have to respond to every show title.
Each artist taking part in a 48 hours notice show will be required to pay £10 towards exhibition expenses and to help out with invigilating the show.
The curation of each 48 hour notice show will revolve around the selection and exhibiting of artworks at a very short notice, with the aim of initiating a dialogue between the audience, artist/artworks and the space.
