'Each piece I make is influenced by what has come before it and the surface on which I am painting, which has generated the feeling that I am on a circular trajectory, returning to the same starting point over and over again. I have, in the past, tackled questions for myself such as ‘what colours do we see in the dark?’ and ‘what is Blue?’ but never came to any satisfactory conclusions although the journeys were interesting. For now I simply wish to convey the joy of colour for it’s own sake.'
Anna Gahlin   July 2015

Anna’s paintings are a playful exploration of colour. This exhibition will have one room dedicated to Red Yellow Blue, the other for multi-layered works on paper.

The exhibition has an accompanying essay by Dr. Michele Whiting.
