Deck the Walls 2018
Open Call for 44AD’s Winter show
44AD artspace annual winter exhibition ‘Deck the Walls’ is now open for submissions, with plans to convert the gallery space into its traditional quasi record store extravaganza!
All 2D work submissions are required to be 12”x12” square format (the size of a standard vinyl record sleeve). Painting, photo, printing... all mediums are accepted.
If the work is framed, the size of the frame is to be included in the 12”x 12” size requirement - and all work accepted must be ready to hang on submission.
All 3D work submissions are to work around the volume of 12”x12”x12”.
The entry limit for ‘Deck the Walls’ is four works per individual. There is no fee to submit work but there will be a gallery hanging fee for each work accepted into the show.
• 1 x work accepted = £10
• 2 x works accepted = £18
• 3 x works accepted = £25
• 4 x works accepted = £30
This is payable on artwork hand-in at the gallery. Original artworks will sell for £78 with the possibility of selling additional prints of work at £33 (at no extra fee). Participating artists are encouraged to help out with invigilating the exhibition.
As for the theme: just let ‘record store and/or season’s greetings’ take you where it may...

• Deadline for all submissions is - Friday 7th December.
• Accepted exhibitors will be contacted by - Sat 8th December.
• Accepted work is to be brought to 44AD artspace on - Sun 9th December.
• 'Deck the Walls' opening night will be held on - Fri 14th December.
• 'Deck the Walls' exhibition will continue until - Sun 23rd December
