Open Call for 44AD artspace Summer show 2014!
44AD artspace is putting out an open call for its 2014 Summer show eighthwonder!
All 2D work submissions are to be A2 format (42 cms x 59.4 cms). Painting, photo, printing… all mediums are accepted.
If the work is framed, the size of the frame is to be included in the A2 size requirement - and all work accepted must be ready to hang on submission.
All 3D work submissions are to work around the volume of A2 x A2 x A2.
Video and sound installations are accepted.
The entry limit for ‘eighthwonder’ is four works per individual.
Please note there is no fee to submit but there will be a gallery hanging fee for each work accepted into the show.
1 x artwork = £10. 2 x artworks = £15. 3 x artworks = £18. 4 x artworks = £20.
This is to be payable by cash or cheque to 44AD when accepted work is brought to the gallery for hand in.

As for the theme: think infinity, think wonder, think, the greatest show on earth.... !
Work can be made available for sale with 20% sales commission going towards 44AD artspace.
There will be a gallery supervision rota drawn up and it would be helpful if exhibiting artists could volunteer a 3 hour shift during the exhibition (Wifi is available in the gallery).
Some dates to remember…
• Deadline for all submissions is Thurs 31-07-14.
• Accepted exhibitors will be contacted by Fri 01-08-14.
• Accepted work is to be brought to 44AD artspace on Sun 03-08-14 (2pm-4pm).
• ‘eighthwonder’ exhibition opening night will be held on Fri 08-08-14.
• Expect music, entertainment and more!
• ‘eighthwonder’ exhibition will continue until Sat 23–08-14, with your work available to pick up on Sun 24-08-14 (2pm-4pm).
Following last year’s success, 44AD artspace will again be awarding the eighthwonder art prize, voted in-house by the visiting public. Prizes will include a ONE WEEK SOLO EXHIBITION at 44AD’s new premises and FREEDOM OF THE CITY (in artform)!!

Daniel Rushforth
Daniel Rushforth was awarded the 2013 eighthwonder art prize. Following a very successful solo show last December, Daniel will be exhibiting alongside Jo Seitfudem at 44AD artspace from 6 – 12 Oct 2014.
