Open Call for 44AD artspace Summer Show!
44AD artspace is putting out an open call for its first Summer show ‘EighthWonder’.
All 2D work submissions are to be A2 format (42 cms x 59.4 cms). Painting, photo, printing… all mediums are accepted.
If the work is framed, the size of the frame is to be included in the A2 size requirement - and all work accepted must be ready to hang on submission.
All 3D work submissions are to work around the volume of A2 x A2 x A2.
Video and sound installations are accepted.
The entry limit for ‘EighthWonder’ is four works per individual. Please note there is no fee to submit but there will be a gallery fee for each work accepted into the show.
1 x artwork = £10. 2 x artworks = £15. 3 x artworks = £18. 4 x artworks = £20.
This is to be payable by cash or cheque to 44AD when accepted work is brought to the gallery for hand in.
This summer, 44AD artspace will introduce the EighthWonder art prize, chosen in-house by the visiting public. Prizes will include a ONE WEEK EXHIBITION in the side gallery and FREEDOM OF THE CITY (in artform)!! More details to follow…

As for the theme: think eight, think wonder, think, the greatest show on earth…. !
Work can be made available for sale with 10% sales commission going towards 44AD artspace.
There will be a gallery supervision rota drawn up and it would be helpful if exhibiting artists could volunteer a 3 hour shift during the exhibition (the gallery has Wifi available).
Some dates to remember…
• Deadline for all submissions is Wed 31-07-13.
• Accepted exhibitors will be contacted by Thurs 01-08-13.
• Accepted work is to be brought to 44AD artspace on Sat 03-08-13 (2pm-4pm).
• EighthWonder’ exhibition opening night will be held on Thurs 08-08-13.
• Expect music, entertainment and more!
• ‘EighthWonder’ exhibition will continue until Fri 23–08-13, with your work available to pick up on Sat 24-08-13 (2pm-4pm).
