Exhibition:  Monday 6th - Sunday 12th November 2023  Open: 11am - 5pm

Researchers from the University of Bath’s Centre for Development Studies invite you to join them for the launch of the exhibition In Their Eyes: Work, Discrimination and Dignity in the Middle East, Africa and the UK. Enjoy the exhibition and talks from the team.

In Their Eyes opens a window onto the daily lives of marginalised communities as they struggle to maintain dignified lives amidst structural discrimination. The collection includes photographic narratives from garment sector workers in Jordan, urban residents in South Africa, asylum seekers in the UK’s Southwest and displaced populations in South Sudan. This exhibition has been developed in collaboration with researchers from the University of Bath’s Centre for Development Studies: Jason Hart, Michelle James, Katharina Lenner, Naomi Pendle, and Polly Winfield. It also includes a documentary of a theatre production by displaced youth in Jordan, and work by Lebanese artist Hala Alaouié.
