Painting Poetry presents selected paintings by Michael Falzoni, bringing together works made over a number of years alongside more recent pieces.
The paintings explore the meeting point between colour, pattern, geometry and the imagination. Drawing on influences from Indian art, architecture and the rhythms of repetition, the work has grown from a fascination with meditation, contemplation and the enduring human search for something beyond ourselves.
There is a sense of seeking within these paintings — a search for stillness, connection and an awareness of the Divine. Yet the work remains open-ended, allowing each viewer to bring their own thoughts, feelings and associations to what they see.
Order and repetition sit alongside chance and spontaneity; colour and form become a way of slowing down, looking closely and entering a quieter state of mind.
A journey through colour, form, rhythm and visual poetry. An invitation to be present.
