This exhibition invites you to contemplate what is in ‘space’ whether inner, outer or around.
Jo Saurin has been focusing on the fullness of space and its content as a balance to the tangibility of trees in her paintings and drawings of an olive grove in Italy.
Jindra Jehu invites the contemplation of space in a broader sense, considering concepts of shelter, belonging and our place within the wider cosmos. Her cross-media approach brings photography, sculpture, drawing and an immersive installation to the space at 44AD.
The exhibition includes work made whilst working together in an olive grove in Liguria, Italy. The collective act of making in one place contributing to the creation of a commonality between their very different practices.
