Call for entries to 44AD’s Open Summer exhibition
44AD is delighted to be collaborating with the Bath Folk festival throughout eighthwonder 2015, and the theme for this year’s exhibition will be Folklore: custom and tradition.
Artwork submission criteria:
All 2D artwork submissions are to be A2 format (42 cms x 59.4 cms). Painting, photography, printing… all mediums are accepted.
If the artwork is framed, the size of the frame must be the A2 size requirement, (therefore the artwork itself can be smaller). All artwork accepted must be ready to hang on submission.
All 3D work submissions are to work around the volume of A2 x A2 x A2.
Video and sound installations are accepted.
The entry limit for eighth wonder 2015 is four works per individual.
Please note that there is no fee to submit entries, but there will be a gallery fee for each art-work accepted into the show.
1 x artwork = £10. 2 x artworks = £15. 3 x artworks = £20. 4 x artworks = £25.
This is to be payable by cash or cheque to 44AD when accepted work is brought to the gallery for hand in.

Work can be made available for sale, with 20% sales commission going towards 44AD artspace.
There will be a gallery supervision rota drawn up and it would be helpful if exhibiting artists could volunteer a 3 hour shift during the exhibition (Wifi is available in the gallery).
Some dates to remember...
• Deadline for all submissions is Thurs 30 July 2015.
• Accepted exhibitors will be contacted by Fri 31 July 2015.
• Accepted artwork is to be brought to 44AD artspace on Sun 02 Aug 2015 (2pm-3pm).
• eighthwonder 2015 Private View will be held on Sat 08 Aug 2015 (6pm - 8pm).
• Expect music, entertainment and more!
• eighthwonder 2015 will continue until Sun 16 Aug 2015, and your work will be available to pick up on this day at 4pm.
eighthwonder 2015 art prize
Following previous year’s successes, 44AD artspace will again be awarding the eighthwonder art prize, which is voted for by the visiting public. Prizes will include a ONE WEEK SOLO EXHIBITION at 44AD artspace and FREEDOM OF THE CITY (in artform)!!

44AD eighthwonder and Bath Folk festival (08 - 16 August 2015).
This year, 44AD’s eighthwonder exhibition looks forward to getting musical with the brilliant Bath Folk festival 2015 and introducing the Two-String Stage at 44AD artspace!
Throughout the exhibition, the Bath Folk festival will be presenting a fantastic series of concerts on the Two-String stage; featuring performances alongside artwork, from talented musicians who combine their practice with the visual arts.
