Flash 3:  5 a Day

Sunday 8th March  (2pm - 4pm).

Sveta Antonova       Deborah Bay       Arran Hodgson

You are invited to join us for a viewing and conversation around a work in progress with the artists (and you are welcome to bring food to share).

Largely influenced by 50s Concept Art, Sveta started the 5 a Day project in 2014. Flash 3: will show the first experimental collaboration of this ongoing concept of collecting, remembering, tracing and plurality; between a group of people who do not meet, but do the same things at the same time, paying attention to a particular situation over and over again.

Deborah Bay is a German based artist, whose practice creates links between private and public perspectives of perception. Deborah experiments with the portrayal of medium such as connecting personal and external video and incorporating sound material into collage.

Arran Hodgson is a curator, artist and photographer, whose work explores the boundaries between digital and analogue.

Sveta Antonova’s artistic practice focuses on text – language and its means, within different media. At the same time transparency and aesthetic neutrality play an essential, formal part in her practice.

The three participants were asked to fulfill a set list of tasks each day during a set period from 25.12.2014 until 04.01.2015.
