TULIP: Fundraising exhibition by artists for Dorothy House.
To celebrate 40 years... and to raise further funds and awareness, Dorothy House is delighted to announce the upcoming exhibition, TULIP curated by 44AD artspace.
The idea is to fill a gallery room at 44AD with an exhibition that honours the tulip, via a multitude of creative guises.
Therefore, it would be extremely appreciated if you could donate your interpretation of the well loved flower which has become so entwined with Dorothy House.
From traditional painting to contemporary abstraction, a marker pen drawing to a complex knitted sculpture, 2D, 3D - anything goes!!
There will also be a wall dedicated for postcard size submissions.
Please note that any artwork submissions made to TULIP exhibition will be considered a donation
There is no entry limit for TULIP. Throughout the exhibition all gallery displayed work will be made available for sale. All sale proceeds will go to Dorothy House (80%) and 44AD (20%).
Artwork that does not sell during the exhibition may be exhibited throughout Dorothy House premises.
12 x works from the exhibition will be selected for a Dorothy House fundraising calendar.
All calendar sales proceeds will go towards Dorothy House and individual artists will be credited.
Please email a digital image of your submission/s to by Fri 1st July 2016. It is important that you include your full name and medium of the work with your email.
Some dates to remember...
• Deadline for all submissions is Fri 1st July 2016.
• Accepted exhibitors will be contacted by Sat 2nd July 2016.
• Accepted work is to be brought to 44AD artspace on Sun 3rd July 2016.
• TULIP Private View will be held (6pm – 8pm) on Thurs 7th July 2016.
• TULIP exhibition will continue until Sun 10th July 2016.
