VICTUS  -  Aisha Eveleigh, eighthwonder art prize winner 2016

Exhibition runs:  9th - 16th December 2016,    Open:  12pm - 6pm  (Sun 1pm - 4pm)

Private View:  Thursday 8th December  (6pm - 8pm)

The eighthwonder art prize exhibition takes place annually at 44AD. The winning artwork is voted for by the visiting public and this year the prize was awarded to Bath Spa School of Art and Design alumni and Bath based artist Aisha Eveleigh.

Following Aisha’s success, 44AD is delighted to present her solo show VICTUS, which will feature Aisha’s prizewinning piece together with recent work made for this exhibition.

Aisha Eveleigh’s work uses a combination of hand-made ceramics and sewn textiles layered with image, text and colour. These elements provide information regarding particular issues within the theme of animal agriculture versus morality.

Her art invites people to consider the ethical consequences of using non-human animals as part of the food system and the concerns that arise as a result of it.
