Bath Humbug Art Market at 44AD is a showcase of affordable contemporary art and unique design led crafts to suit every taste, gift budget and stocking.

Ranging from fine art painting, hand printed cards, artist bound books, hand stitched leather goods, interior design, textiles, homeware, jewellery, ceramics and glass; you are invited to peruse an exceptional array of work, all available to purchase direct from the artists and designers themselves.

44AD’s door leads straight into the heart of the Bath Christmas Market and Bath Humbug will run alongside the duration from 23rd Nov - 10th Dec 2017.

ACJ (Association for Contemporary Jewellery) Bath

Four members of ACJ (Association for Contemporary Jewellery) Bath, showcasing a diverse range of jewellery work in precious and non-precious materials. Inspired by various themes, such as nature, architecture, colour and landscape. All the work on display is hand made in Bath and it's surrounding areas.

Suzanne Baginski

Vibrant, contemporary fused glass made for the home and garden.

Shuya Cheng

A variety of intricate freehand embroidery framed and suspended in shadow boxes, a range of abstract prints and greeting cards and a range of Christmas cards.

Dominique Coiffait

Dominique will present his latest collection of Linocut prints inspired by nature. On display will be framed and unframed artworks and hand printed greetings cards available to buy. Alongside a seasonal range of hand cut and printed paper products designed around a Winter folk theme; including cards, gift tags and printed coasters.

Emily Cross

Handmade ceramics made in Bath, from Yarn Bowls to humble tea bowls. Emily strives to give everything she makes it’s own personality and uniqueness.

Beryl Desmond

Beryl’s practice investigates the relationship between architecture and space. Drawing on site, she records her responses to subjects with which she feels a connection, both aesthetically and emotionally. Paintings are then developed through colour and imaginative mark making.

The Kala Company - Rosanna Ford

Beautiful bright homeware and textiles from Bristol-based contemporary design studio The Kala Company. Fusing colour, bold lines and exquisite craftsmanship, collections are a celebration of colour and the transformative effect it has on interior spaces. Ethically sourced hand woven cottons, organic linens and great attention to detail make each product special.

Karen George

Acrylic and mixed media paintings, prints and cards that capture the shifting nature of light and clouds over landscapes and seascapes.

Polly Gough

A range of colourful collagraph prints of animals. Each print is an artists original, hand inked and printed using a traditional etching press. Artists cards will also be available.

Nicky Harwood

Inspired by the colours seen on South West coastal Path walks, Nicky creates abstract seascapes from layers of dried acrylic paint. Sliced and smothered in yet more paint, when completely dry the painting is sliced again revealing multiple mini seascapes mounted on mass.

Robert Highton

An accomplished portrait painter, Robert creates bespoke portraits as oil or watercolour paintings. He will present a selection of cards, paintings and giclee prints inspired by cinematic images which will bring drama to any interior.

Twelve Design - Caroline Kontos

Twelve Design are interior specialists presenting decorative cushions, stockings, fabrics and objects.

Andrew Ockwell

Bright, vivid photo art inspired by fauvism. On display will be a selection of giclee prints and cards which take their cue from painting rather than traditional photography.

Silversides Glass

Gill & Rob Silversides capture and express moods, moments and meaning in their contemporary art, that their patrons connect with, and are excited to own and display. Their process is experimental and fun, and their enjoyment in creating each piece shows.

Carole Anne Tonge

On display be a range hand made prints, both etchings and collagraphs, of local scenes of Bath, Bristol and Wiltshire. Alongside hand bound sketchbooks and journals filled with high quality plain paper, perfect for all kinds of notes and sketches. Unique Greetings and Christmas Cards will also be available.

Pop Shock Designs - Sally Waldegrave

Bright 'pops' and interesting mixes of colour, using the wonderful medium of plexiglass, creating unique and eye-catching statement jewellery designs.

Julie Christian Young

Julie Christian Young is a portrait artist living near Bath. She works from commissions in either oil or charcoal. Her work captures not only an accurate likeness of the sitter but also a strong sense of their character.

Robert Walsh

Bespoke hand stitched leather goods.
